Marcus has always found interest in the field of healthcare. He was drawn to the field of physiotherapy as he loved being around all kinds of sports growing up.
Marcus gained his Physiotherapy degree in 2018 from one of the top Physiotherapy schools in the Philippines, the University of Santo Tomas. Throughout his University days, he achieved several accolades – from being named the best Physiotherapy intern to being awarded the Benavides Outstanding Achievement Award, an award conferred on students who perform excellently in national and international competitions.
He initially got into fitness and wellness after earning his degree and worked as a Personal Trainer at Altea Active from 2020 to 2022. This led to him applying his knowledge in the field of Physiotherapy to his clients without the use of modalities, causing him to be more hands-on. He has helped people bounce back from injury and at the same time, move big weights, too!
Marcus has taken a number of courses, seminars, and certifications – mostly in the field of orthopaedics, nutrition, and personal training. He believes in a very holistic approach to rehabilitation and wellness and always aims to provide individualized treatment and exercise programs for each person. He has a huge heart for teaching and an ever-growing desire to help those wanting to get back to optimal function and those who wish to improve functionally and physically.
On days when he works on himself, Marcus could be found in the gym lifting weights and around the block walking his dog, Hope! He has been to some parts of Asia and Europe, but still yearns to travel and see the rest of the world.
